The Cooke Anamorphic/i Full Frame Plus SF lenses represent the next step in the evolution of large-format anamorphic cinematography: eight Full Frame anamorphic prime lenses with a 1.8x squeeze factor and the unmistakable Cooke Look™ — warm, organic skin tones, highly attractive oval bokeh, and gentle contrast —, now in the Special Flare (SF) version, which features a proprietary coating that kicks flares, bokeh, and other aberrations into bold new visual territory. The 1.8x squeeze is the ideal sweet spot for Full Frame: full coverage of a 36 × 24mm sensor with aspect ratios up to 2.7:1 and a 1.8:1 bokeh shape.
Like all modern Cooke lenses, the Anamorphic/i Full Frame Plus SF lenses feature proprietary Cooke /i Technology — an open protocol designed by Cooke that enables cameras to automatically record key lens metadata frame by frame: focus and iris position, depth of field, hyperfocal distance, serial number, and more —, streamlining production and reducing post-production and VFX costs, including Virtual Production applications. All lenses in the series are colour balanced and matched to one another, with precision ergonomic mechanics, a 9-leaf iris, standardised 0.8 MOD focus and iris gears, and a scratch-resistant hard anodised PTFE finish. Available in PL and LPL mounts.
Perfect for: cinematographers seeking the most classic and organic anamorphic character in Full Frame format, with a particularly pronounced and cinematic flare response, full large-format sensor coverage, integrated lens metadata for VFX and Virtual Production, and absolute colour consistency across all focal lengths.
