The RED V-RAPTOR [X] 8K VV is RED’s most advanced large format digital cinema camera, and the world’s first large format camera with a global shutter. Built around a 35.4MP 8K VV CMOS sensor (40.96 x 21.60 mm) with over 17 stops of dynamic range, it merges the high frame rates and resolution of the V-RAPTOR line with the global shutter advancements of the KOMODO — completely eliminating rolling shutter in any shooting scenario.

Its RED Global Vision technology includes Extended Highlights for capturing greater detail in extreme dynamic range scenes, and Phantom Track for virtual production environments using GhostFrame™ — all in an aluminium body weighing just 1.83 kg.
