FD stands for Full Diaphragm — aperture fully open during focusing —, but paired with TLS it means something more: Full Frame, super speed lenses with an unmistakable vintage look. Their aspherical glass elements with Super Spectra Coating (SSC) anti-reflective treatment are the same glass that served as the foundation for the acclaimed Canon K35 lenses, and the 24mm, 55mm, and 85mm focal lengths share optical elements directly with them.

During the rehousing process, TLS replaces the original 8-blade iris with a new 16-blade iris, ensuring a circular, expressive bokeh at any aperture — combined with the characteristic dual look of these lenses: wide open they are soft, warm, low-contrast and almost creamy on skin tones; stopped down, detail snaps into focus delivering a more modern, contrasty image. The set features a uniform 110mm front diameter across all focal lengths, minimal breathing, close to 300° of focus rotation with a non-linear cam system, and focus and iris gears in the same position on every focal length. Notable productions shot with them: Argentina, 1985 (Academy Award for Best International Feature Film), Triumph 67, and the series Jo Mai Mai. PL mount.

Type: Full Frame vintage prime lenses — TLS cinematic rehousing

Sensor coverage: Full Frame — image circle 43mm

Mount: PL

Front diameter: 110mm uniform across the full set

Iris: 16 blades (TLS) — circular bokeh at any aperture

Focus rotation: approx. 300° — non-linear cam system

Focus and iris gears in identical position across all focal lengths

Minimal breathing — internal focus

Super Spectra Coating (SSC) optical treatment across all focal lengths in the set

Aspherical elements on 24mm, 55mm and 85mm — same glass as Canon K35s

Dual look: wide open → soft, warm, creamy / stopped down → modern, contrasty

T-stops: T1.3 (55, 85mm) — T1.5 (24mm) — T2.1 (28, 35, 100, 135mm) — T2.9 (20mm)

Minimum focus distance: 0.25m (20mm) — 0.30m (24, 28mm) — 0.32m (35mm) — 0.45m (55mm) — 0.85m (85mm) — 0.65m (100mm) — 1.15m (135mm)

Weight: 1.00–1.76 kg per focal length

Basic Set included

20mm — T2.9

28mm — T2.1

35mm — T2.1

55mm — T1.3

85mm — T1.3

135mm — T2.1

Extra focal lengths available

24mm — T1.5

100mm — T2.1

Perfect for: cinematographers seeking a warm, organic, cinematic vintage look in Full Frame with super speed lenses, full large-format sensor coverage, and the same optical personality as the Canon K35s at a more accessible price point — also ideal for complementing or extending a K35 set with additional focal lengths.

[145
632,413,424

0":"post-1429","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_brand-canon","7":"product_cat-spherical-lenses","8":"product_cat-cameras","9":"product_cat-lenses","11":"first","12":"instock","13":"shipping-taxable","14":"purchasable","15":"product-type-simple
["GET
